Tsul
1) What nation is the character from, and how does the culture and beliefs of that nation influence the character's political and religious views? How does the character's race impact their place in their nation or their religion?
Tsul's (Pro: sul the 't' is silent) most recent affiliation was with the Nation of Aranous, where he served as both a prominent business leader and a senator under the Emperor’s senate, His history does not however begin there. Tsul is a true enticer, his essence created many thousands of years ago and is, distantly however, in line for one of the baronies among the many factions in hell. He was banished to Aranous by his father for a hundred years, a sentence that lasted much longer. While in the city of Aranous, Tsul was convicted of murder and sentenced to Sorcerous entrapment of his soul at the bottom of the sea. He did however find a loop hole; by possessing the body of a young rabbit boy he was able to escape his imprisonment.
2) What are the character's motivations and goals? Why are they in the Shire Lands, and what do they plan to learn or gain from being here?
Tsul's motivations are simple, and can be summed in a word: pleasure. He is a true enticer, in thought and spirit if not currently in form, and strives to experience and provide temptations and pleasure in order to control and manipulate. Tsul sees the shire as only a brief stop in his escapades; however brief for one such as him could be hundreds if not thousands of years.
3) What are the character's strengths and weaknesses? What are the character's prejudices and ideals that they will not shake off?
Tsul's strengths lie in his silver tongue and his lack of anything resembling mortal morals, though he can put on a good facade when needed. His weakness would definitely be his ego and his general disdain for those he considers beneath him, certainly not evil, just self centered, vain and manipulative.
4) What is the character's psychology? What is the character's greatest love and fear? What can calm the character down, or make them fly into a rage?
Tsul stays cool and calm under almost any circumstance. His long life has taught him the value of a calm demeanor, something he will use to enrage others to his advantage some times.
5) What is the character's views of their country and of their religion? How does this differ from the mainstream for their nation?
Tsul has no place he considers his country, Aranous was as close as he will ever get. As for religion, he shuns most of the faiths even to the point of talking down of them before there members.
6) What does the character swear their loyalty? What will they defend with their life? Is it their faith? Their nation? A specific individual? An ideal? If not, what caused this?
Tsul swears loyalty to no one, but does value the friendships he has and would consider defending a close friend, perhaps not to his death but up to it. He fought for Aranous when he was a senator almost dieing many times on the battle field.
7) Who are the character's family? Who were the character's parents or siblings? Who is still alive that the character considers family?
Tsul has many siblings in hell and many mostly mortal children on Kith the only child he considers worth his time is his son Faran. He will have little, to nothing to do with his mate’s family and generally considers the house of Celests trite.
8) Does the character have manners? What cultural mores does the character follow, if any?
When he decides to act properly, Tsul can be very charming and could easily fit in at court or a royal dinner. He generally however is much cruder, though in a more subtle and sophisticated way, as opposed to vulgarities. It is not that he doesn’t understand the insult his more crude humor causes, but more that he does not care.
9) How religious is the character, and which faith do they follow? Do they believe in the gods of other pantheons? Have they turned their back on their faith? How loyal are they to their gods? Would they follow the commands of the heads of their faith if told it was the word of their god? If it contradicted their morals?
Religion? Bah! Temples are evil places, that suck the life and spirit from there followers. A religion is just a place where the faithful go to die for unfounded beliefs and false prophets. While Tsul definitely believes in gods, he also thinks they are generally fuller of them selves than him...which is saying a lot.
10) Is the character part of any Order, and how loyal are they to the order? Would they follow the commands of the heads of their orders, if it contradicted their beliefs?
Not currently, and while he might consider the personal benefits of joining Tsul would mostly likely scoff at the restrictions.
11) What does the character think of Sorcery? Of Psionics? What do they think magic or psionics 'comes from'?
Sorcery is wonderful, and being a being of magic rather innate to his way of thinking. He does not however like to have magic directed against him, one of the few things that will get his normally subdued temper to peak. The same goes for Psionics, though he is more wary of the use of abilities that he has a harder time detecting.
12) What job does the character have? Where do they get their income? Who are their friends and contacts?
Tsul currently does not really work, he lives off find that were secretly set aside by him from his estate in Aranous before the fall. He waits looking for the next opportunity for business and luxury to come his way.
