The Skill of controlling the body, purifying the essence of the individual and soothing the mind. The character can use this Skill as an Active Defence against rolls which would target the character’s Resistance Trait.

Reclaim Essence
The character meditates, calming themselves, drawing upon the essence that flows through the world. The character makes a Results Roll, using Spiritual + Meditation and meditating for a number of minutes equal to the Difficulty. The character reclaims Essence equal to the Potency of the roll. If the character is interrupted, they may not roll.

Slow Affliction
The character meditates, calming themselves and slowing down bodily functions. The character makes a Results Roll, using Spiritual + Meditation and meditating for a number of minutes equal to the Difficulty. The Potency is added to the Frequency of the affliction the character is suffering from. So, if a poison has a Frequency of Hours, and the character gains four Successes on their roll, the Frequency becomes Four Hours. If the character is interrupted, they may not roll, and if the character is interrupted after the roll, they must make a Concentration Roll to keep this benefit.

Aiding Others
The character can aid another in making a Meditation Roll, even if they do not have the Skill. This is a form of hypnosis and the subject must be willing. The character rolls as normal, but the recipient gains the benefits of the roll.
