Income Skill, Specialty Skill
The Skill associated with having detailed knowledge in a variety of fields. The character must choose one Specialty each time this Skill is taken. This Skill may only be used with a Specialty that the character possesses. If the character does not have the appropriate Specialty, the character rolls Unskilled.

Example Specialties
Animals, Demonology, Dragons, Faeries, Ghosts, History (Nation or Order), Monsters, Myths (Nation), Religion (Specific), Spirits

Knowledge
The character attempts to recall important facts. The character makes a Results Roll, and gains a number of important or pertinent pieces of information equal to the Potency. This takes a number of Full Rounds equal to the Difficulty.

Research
The character researches information within a library, or other place of learning. The character makes a Results Roll, and gains a number of detailed pieces of information equal to the Potency. This takes a number of hours equal to the Difficulty. The character may increase the time required to days, gaining a number of Additional Success equal to their Growth on the roll.

Knowledge versus Research When time is of the essence, it is usually more suitable to make a Knowledge roll, and hope to get important information. If the character needs detail however, a Research roll is better, as the game master will give more information per Success. Also, a Library counts as Equipment and the character may get a bonus from others helping gather information.
