Kizril

The kizril (kizz-real) are very much the opposite of their cousins the nizril. Being a cheerful and vocal race, that dwell in the Colian Jungle; making their homes in the treetops. They are tall and lean, ranging in height from six and half feet tall to about seven feet tall, with full features and bright eyes. Living in the treetops, the kizril’s wings are larger and stronger then their cousins, allow them to have limited flight capacity as well as being able to glide for longer. Males tend to be a little larger than females. The kizril speak the language of their ancestors, which is shared by their cousin races the nizril and the chimera, which is completely inaudible to most other races. Being the most vocal, the kizril have a natural talent for learning the languages of others. Where as the nizril stay in their caves, the kizril prefer exploring the world around them, and are the most common of the cepn that other races are likely to encounter. Like bats, kizril prefer to sleep in high places, and always upside-down, gripping with their long, clawed toes.
Sharing the land with a life goddess, the kizril culture has focused is on awareness and life. The kizril believe that taking a life is unnecessary, that everyone despite their morals have a right to life. As such a kizril will only kill as the absolute last resort, and even then will mourn over the act. This can occasionally put them at odds with their cousins. Their society is one of concentric circles, where the young move gradually towards the center. Each advancement involves complex rituals and tests until, at the centre, the young kizril fully understands the miracle of life, gaining true respect for it and their purpose to protect it.
A kizril‘s affinity for life makes them exceptional healers, able to feel life force flowing and use it to its fullest potential. Kizril are also able to use their talents as master farmers, using the fertile soil in their rain forest home to grow all sorts of fruits and vegetables for use to the surrounding races. The kizril believe in peace, and thus try their best to get along with all species; feeling that everything can be worked out peacefully if people tried hard enough.
Due to the kizril's affinity for life and refusal to kill; kizril are vegetarians. Such as the giant foxbats of earth, kizril primarily feast on the various fruits that grow in their jungle. Kizril will also refuse to wear articles of clothes that have been made from dead animals, but have no problem if the material was gotten humanly (Such as wool). The Kizril's main taboo, is of course killing without reason; the kizril that resorts to deadly violence when there were other ways are marked with the symbol for death, and exiled from the Colian jungle.
