Kitsune

Kitsune are fox spirits native to Anaitha and Naipon. They are connected to two 'breeds', called nogitsune and myobu. Kitsune can have offspring with mortals, producing kitsune children with a physical body and connected to the mortal cycle (which are allowed as player characters, where pure-blood kitsune are not).

Myobu

Myobu are called 'Celestial Kitsune' and are followers of the Fortune Inari. They are sometimes called 'temple foxes', and are usually pure white or pure black in colour. Myobu are guardians and protectors, and are petitioned to aid those in need.

A player wishing to play a character of this ancestry takes the Race: Divine (Omi-Kami) at character creation. The character must also take the Talent: Oath of Purity and Oath of Obedience. Lastly, the character takes the Order: Kitsune Servant and chooses Inari as their Ability. If desired, the kitsune can also take Race: Faerie (Miko-Kami) if they wish.

Nogitsune

Nogitsune are sometimes called 'Dark Kitsune' and are followers of the Koki Teno, the mother of kitsune. They can be of nearly any colour, including blue, grey, or red. Nogitsune are often thought to be 'wild', but in truth they serve the Celestial Courts just like every other kitsune. These kitsune are tricksters, and are known for testing those around them to ensure they truly pious and follow bushido, and act with honour. Those who fail to meet a nogitsune's exacting standards will often suffer drastically or be punished for their misdeeds.

A player wishing to play a character of this ancestry takes the top psychics: Faerie (Miko-Kami) at character creation. The character must also take the Talent: Oath of Purity and Oath of Obedience. Lastly, the character takes the Order: Kitsune Servant and chooses Koki Teno as their Ability. If desired, the kitsune can also take Race: Divine (Omi-Kami) if they wish.
