History
Jhazza kal Khett's family line would give most geneologists a migraine. She is the daughter of Mika, sorceress of the Shire, and Khett, Arion's Archon of death. In her veins flows blood of Divine, Infernal, and mortal heritage.
Conceived shortly before the fall of Aranous, Jhazza grew up in and around the Solar Temple in the Shire. Early on, she showed an aptitude for magics and powers that altered her own being, such powers being an intrinsic part of her nature. Her shapeshifting talents do not match those of her parents, but she is able to tap her heritage to make herself a very dangerous opponent. For all that, though, she grew up without much need of it. Every peaceful year at the temple, the girl has grown a little more distant from her peers, watching playful Lutrai youths rather than participating in their games.
Times have changed, though. In the space of less than a month, the wolf girl has participated in the destruction of Beryn (resulting in the ascension of her own mother), a quest to Enoch that took the group through death and back unto life, the confrontation of the Wind Walker, and the defense of Terrabrae.
Description
Jhazza kal Khett stands taller than the average woman of the shire at around six feet, the she wolf carrying herself with an air of calmness. Her hazel eyes are bright, bearing the glimmer of knowledge beyond her nearly twenty years of life. The only hint of her vulpine heritage is deep red-brown tone of her fur. Her pelt is oddly marked, however, with sigils of sharp angles and graceful curves that appear black in bright light yet become a crimson that almost glows in partial darkness. Such a pattern crosses her left eye vertically in a shallow crescent. Each of the natural markings has been outlined using a silver paint in her fur. She shows feminine curves, but there is no doubt her lithe figure is toned behind soft fur. She all but radiates physical strength one would never expect of her frame. Her silken, stark white hair is held back in a ponytail that hangs between her shoulder blades.
The she wolf wears a gray vest that hugs her torso, revealing a bit of her midriff. A sturdy belt circles her waist, supporting several small pouches and a loincloth that hangs to her knees. The soft, black boots that cover her calves, laced up the sides, match the fingerless gloves gloves that reach up over her wrists. She wears a hooded cloak, slit partway up the back to allow her tail to move more freely, if desired. Her left ear is pierced, bearing a gold stud and silver ring. Also, her right ring finger bears an intricately carved bloodstone ring.
Often beneath the cover of her cloak, the wolf sports a distinct sign of her otherworldly blood - a pair of long tendrils stretching from the back of her shoulders, not unlike those on a fabled displacer beast.
There is some rumor about the Solar Temple that Jhazza has one or more other forms, but evidence of such is lacking.
Behavior
Perhaps owing to her demonic heritage, Jhazza is on the short-tempered side. She much prefers action to debate - a characteristic that suits her well as a warrior, but much less so as a leader. Presumably for those very reasons, the wolf avoids alcohol.
Jhazza is fiercely protective of the residents of the Shire. While this often centers around a concern for the relatively peaceful Lutrai of the Solar Temple, she shows no reverence for Kij. In fact, she openly scorns even the most beneficial of gods as troublesome meddlers in the fates of mortals. This has only been complicated since her mother became a goddess herself.
Deities aren't the only targets of her distain. She just as readily opposes any beings who threaten the innocent. Jhazza seems to have a particular hatred of Kitsune due to her treatment at the hands of one such visitor to the Shire.
Kithain
In spite of her mixed and magical nature, or maybe because of it, Jhazza was invited into the secretive order known as the Kithain. Though the order operates in small cells more than a typical hierarchy, she is "officially" in charge of the Kithain within the Shire. So far, it seems a suitable match as her opposition of supernatural forces has only grown since her induction.
Powers
By blood and nature, Jhazza is an adaptive metamorph. Literally, her shapechanging abilities make her more resilient against the challenges she faces. While this does not usually help her first encounter with an opponent, it has made her a very tough combatant. Coupled with Kithain-taught Psionics, the girl is one of the most gifted warriors in the Shire in terms of raw power even though she rarely makes use of crafted arms and armor.
