Deveron

History

Deveron is the son of Dove and Shaden, the Queen and King of Drachen. He is the oldest child, and was sent to the city of Siren's Cove for training as a child.

Deveron was raised on the legends of his father, and hero-worshipped his father, wanting to be just like him. In Siren's Cove, he decided the soft life was not for him, and bribed his teacher to let him come and go as he pleased while he lived in the city.

City life was hard on Deveron, and he wound up on the streets, fighting for his survival. He wound up joining a street gang, and learned much about how to fight for survival, how to hunt and stalk prey, and even found a tutor to train him in the use of psionics. Living day to day proved good for him, and Deveron become an effective survivalist.

When it became time to graduate, Deveron fled Siren's Cove, and came to the Shire Lands. There, he met Jerec, his younger brother, and settled in with his aunt, Jhazza. His parents eventually caught up with him, and he petitioned to join the Horsemen. His father refused.

Angry and rebellious, Deveron decided to join the Dragonwright at the urgings of one of his friends. He was accepted, and became a decently-ranked member of the order, leading the group within the Shire itself. Eventually, he became disillusioned with it, feeling a higher calling.

Deveron was always a religious individual, having a very strong faith and respect for the gods, regardless of pantheon. He was, nominally, a member of the Arin faith, but did not revere any specific member of that pantheon, instead showing respect to all of them. This changed shortly after his grandmother Mika re-ascended to take her place in the pantheon. Her new faith, the Balancers struck a proper cord with Deveron, and he petitioned to join their faith.

Personality

Deveron is much like a younger version of his father. He is a loner, and prefers to go hunting by himself from time to time. He constantly wants to test his abilities, and enjoys the challenges of physical conflict. He has faced dragons, demons, undead, and other warriors, wanting to improve himself time and again.

Deveron is a skilled cook, and enjoys preparing meals and working over a stove. This is a side of himself that he is proud of, and he is quite good at making food. He makes two meals a day for the new temple of the Balancers.

He has no interest in the throne of Drachen, and is fairly certain his younger brother will take the throne some day.

Appearance

Deveron kal Shaden is a prince of Drachenkeep. He is a fox with jet black fur and deep green eyes, standing at about six feet in height and weighing close to two hundred pounds. He has a strong, firm build, much more powerful than you might expect from a fox, and a easy, fluid grace. His black hair is long, and kept up in a high ponytail to keep off his back. He is handsome, but stern, and would probably look much more pleasant if he would unwind. He wears a black shirt and pants, with a black vest over the shirt. Over his heart is the crest of the Drachenkeep Royal Crest, indicating his position as Prince of Drachen. At his side are two short swords. The one thing that stands out the most is the long, black wings that stretch out behind him, the feathers ebony black.
