Crys-Ieth Keelohwaiha
From FFa2Wiki
History
Crysalla was born about 20 or so years ago in the Northern Wilds. She spent most of her youth, like others in her tribe, learning how to hunt and fight, as well as learning to grasp her own special magics along with the traditions and laws of her tribe. Religion was never a part of that early education, but the legends surrounding the creation of her tribe take that place, giving her a rather unique perspective on the world. By the time she was about eight years old, her own marriage was arranged and the promising ceremony performed to bind her, and an older boy in her tribe together until the official cermony once she came of age. From the moment of the promising ceremony on ward, she did what was expected of her to learn to be a proper mate.
Around the age of 16, she went off on a vision quest to find and earn her adult name. The test itself was a mystery to her, but, like others before her, had to follow the clues given to her in visions. It would take a long time to complete the task which would put her skills as a hunter to the test. For her, the visions lead her far away from her homeland near the base of the Dragon Spire mountains. Months of walking and flight took her to the border of the Wilds where she saw her first glimpse of civilization. The size of the villages, towns, and cities were daunting to the young feline but she had to venture near to see if they matched the places seen in her visions.
Because of the overly simple mode of dress she wore, the inhabitnts of the various towns treated her as less than what they consider normal and refuse to help when they could understand her language or ignored her when they couldn't. To these so called civilized people, she was an unclean barbarian and blamed for things she had nothing to do with. Only in one town did a Joshuite monk who had a rough understanding of phae take the time to help the lost girl and teach her what she was doing 'wrong' according to the masses. In his attempts to convert Crys, he taught her what clothing was for and gave her a few clerical ribes to hide her almost bare form as well as a few of the basic niceties of civilization.
With this knowledge in hand, she left the monk after about a year to continue her vision quest. Her time learning with the monk gave her a slight distaste for large groups of people, so she kept away from other towns for the better part of her journey southward. Only when she had to enter a town did she bother donning one of the robes she was given. Eventually, her wandering brought her to the Shire, right at the tail end of the dangerous cold snap they had endured. From there, she found many new friends that took the time to get to know her and didn't try to change her ways, but isntead tried to help her find what her visions were showing her.
Description
Laughing bright green eyes, the color of the deep ocean, stare back at you as this young lady takes in your full gaze. Her curly, strawberry blonde, hair reaches just past her shoulders, left loose so each ringlet is free to move and bounce with every motion of her head. Soft white fur covers her face and ears, as well as the rest of her body, giving her a rather unique appearance. Gently arching brows, the same color as her hair accent her eyes, as do the long lashes framing her eyes, making them appear larger than normal. To set off her whole face, a soft pink nose pad is framed by long white whiskers which twitch occassionally; looking almost invisible until the light hits them just right.
Her slender figure is concealed by a long flowing robe colored a soft tan with the folds hiding the evidence of her slender figure. Long billowy sleeves almost completely hide her slim arms, annoying enough that she keeps pushing them up so her delicate paws can be seen and unhindered by the cloth. The bottom hem of her robe hides her legs, but leaves her feet visible so she can walk without stepping on it. Around her waist a simple rope belt keeps the robe secure so there's no glimpse of what the cloth hides. Oddly enough, there is a pair of slits in the back to allow her dragon-like wings freedom of movement. The wings alone gather some attention with the transluscent membranes stretching between long thing finger like bones covered with downy soft feathers. When the light hits them just right, a faint pattern of rosettes can be seen on the pale, thin, skin.
To give her long, skunk-like tail a little freedom, there's a long slit so nothing more is revealed by the movement of the ever flicking appendage. Upon her feline feet, she wears a pair of well worn moccasin style slippers to protect the delicate pads of her feet. Only a few small pouches adorn the rope encircling her waist, each containing very little from the looks of them. To enhance her natural beauty, she wears little jewelry. What she does wear looks to be hand crafted from leather with stone beads intertwined with the laces and a small feather fetish hanging around her neck.
Known Facts
Crysalla's primary language is Phae. She is fluent in several dialects from her travels in the Northern Wilds. Trade, the common language of the Shire, is a second language she is currently learning and makes her difficult to understand at times. With that aside, she is a very sweet, kind, and playful young lady. While she may look like a fully grown adult, she considers herself a child until she earns her adult name according to her tribe's traditions.
When first meeting her, Crys is rather quiet and reserved, bordering on shy, especially in large gathers. Seeing her try to hang back and observe is such situations is normal. Once she is comfrtable with the people around her and the place, she opens up and shows her true colors. Some can describe her as hyper though energetic is the best word to use to describe her.
Crys will do what she thinks is expected of her even when faced by enemies of people she barely knows. She shows no fear in a fight and will give it her all even when faced with opponants far superior to her own skills. Helping where she can and working to earn her own keep is considered normal behaviour in all things, including the briefest of visits.
When you really get down to it, Crys is an innocent youth. She is pure of heart, mind, body, and spirit in spite of all she has gone through to survive during her quest. This shows in her actions and speech. She is also a very curious cat. If she can't learn by observing, she will ask questions until she is satisfied with the answers.
