Field of Augmentation

  • Mastery: Physical
  • Tell: Aura surrounding the body or body part.

A character who studies the Field of Augmentation learns how to harness the Essence which flows through them to enhance their body and to perform limited transformations of their form. Most who study this Field work towards physical perfection and are already impressive physically by either being incredibly strong or quick on their feet.

The most common philosophy associated with this Field is that being healthy can aid one in progression towards perfection. Those who follow this path train themselves constantly, working on strength, speed, and endurance. Most eschew luxuries, and live a rugged life, constantly testing themselves while avoiding things which could detract from their constant goal of enhancement and perfection.

Discipline

Augment Physical

  • Requires: Growth 1
  • Action: Instant
  • Cost: 1 Essence per +1 Additional Success
  • Duration: Scene

The character can augment a specific aspect of their Physical Attribute. The player chooses the aspect, such as physical strength, agility, or endurance. Any roll using the character’s Physical Attribute in a manner consistent with this aspect gains this bonus. The character can not spend more than (Mastery) Essence.

Wellness of Being

  • Requires: Growth 4
  • Action: Free
  • Cost: 1 Essence per -1 Potency
  • Duration: Immediate

The character can reduce an Affliction's Potency by (Essence) Ranks as it affects them. This can only be done as the affliction is applied, not after it has taken root. The character can not spend more than (Mastery) Essence.

Physical Perfection

  • Requires: Growth 7
  • Action: Full Round
  • Cost: 2 Essence per +1 Die
  • Duration: Scene

The character can augment a specific aspect of their Physical Attribute. The player chooses a specific aspect of the Physical Attribute, such as physical strength, agility, or endurance. Any roll using the character’s Physical Attribute in a manner consistent with this aspect gains this bonus. The character can not spend more than (Mastery) Essence. This Discipline may be combined with Augment Physical.
