Siren's Cove is the capital city if Tarantis, and is the spiritual heart of the Joshuite faith. Siren's Cove exists on the coast, along the northern edge of Cerulean Bay, and is a major trading point between Threshold, Aregon, the Shire Lands, Ajani, and R'Tal. Siren's Cove was founded by the Arin goddess of Magic, according to legend, as a foundation for the rise of civilization after the Age of Dragons - a place where the races could unite and progress towards enlightenment.

[edit] Quick Run-Down For Ellen (Expanded on Soon)

The region of Siren's Cove is hilly, with many rises and falls throughout the city. The Queen's Way runs from the western gate, through the heart of the city and turns southeast at the heart of the city, known as the Hub. From there, it runs to the southeast gate, through the Noble quarters, and out into the bay, where it forms a bridge to Valorean Isle, where the palace rests. The palace itself takes up the majority of the island, but is surrounded by lush trees. The palace rises majestic from the island, and is the highest building in Siren's Cove, visible from nearly any point in the city.

The city hub is the educational district, and is by far the largest district in the city. Here, the colleges and universities can be found - there are at least a score of colleges, each with a focus on a specific field of trade-craft. There are perhaps a half dozen universities in the city, which cover a variety of fields - the arts, science, magic, religion, artificing, astronomy, and other areas of knowledge. Here, most of the wonders can be seen, as inventors and thaumatechs develop their creations and show them off to the public.

To the southeast is the noble district, which is filled with lush gardens and palatial estates. Here, the nobles spend most of their time during the summer months, while the winter months are spent in winter cottages outside the city gates, near the coastline. To the south is the guild district, where the homes and offices of the various guilds are situated, and where the Guild itself holds power. To the west is the market district, which is the second largest district in the city. Here is where trading is done, as the western gate is the most common gate for entering the city, bringing visitors directly into the market. To the north is the church district, where awe-inspiring cathedrals to Adonai can be found. A smaller section to the northeast holds the Arin and Kijian temples, and near the noble district is the temple of Mana, where the Emerald Adepts are housed.

[edit] Religious Notes

The city is watched over by the Clerics, who act as security for the city. Each cleric is dedicated to one of the Archangels, and has the authority to enforce city law. The Knights are more dedicated to the security of Tarantis as a whole, and acts as the nation's military leaders and soldiers, while the clerics handle municipal affairs. The Emerald Adepts are the Royal Guards, having dedicated themselves to protecting the throne during the absence of the royal line, and have continued in this duty to the present day. The role of Royal Protector was held by Arianna, but with her ascension the position is in the process of being filled. The leader of the Emerald Adepts, the Unfettered known as Laurana Clearbrook, resides here, and deals with the smooth operations of the Adepts, but is not engaged politically. The Witch Hunters of Tarantis have their main chapterhouse within this city, which sends out hunters throughout Tarantis, searching for supernatural threats to the nation. There is a small temple to Mera, goddess of water for the Kijian Faith, who is the primary goddess of the faith in this region, and to Tempest, for the Arin Faith, who is respected, but not on the same level as Mana. This city is still the city of Raveena.

[edit] Arianna Woods, Archon of Loyalty

Daughter of Arion and Mana, the Emerald Adept named Arianna guarded the royal throne from 1020 to the first month of 1043.
